My name is Crystal. I reside on a 160 acre farm, just outside of
Estevan, Sask Canada. Married 17yrs a mother of three
children, ages 16, 14 &13.
I love animals, and we have a variety of pets such as four
Pitbulls, two cats, a corn snake, three horses ( 2 of which I
rescued from the meat man at the auction), an 2African Grey
parrots, chickens, a chinchilla, a ferret, an ailing elderly rat, a
gopher that has since been released and last but not least our
newest addition.... a ferret, that was turned over to a petstore
from some young kids. He was in pretty bad shape, thin,
lethargic, bad teeth, bald tail. Now he's doing great, and finally
getting some hair on that tail
From a young age, I was the kid that the kids in the
neighborhood bought injured animals to. Every thing from
gophers to pigeons, etc. Even now from time to time we also
come across animals, that need our assistance until they are
ready to be released. For example, the crow seen in the picture
with "Gavon" I found him in the middle of the road. I though
he was dead, until I seen him turn and look at me. He was
partially paralyzed for 2 days( I think the stress of being hit
did it). 2 weeks later we were able to release him back into the
wild.
Drawing has always been a passion of mine, ever since a young
age. In 1997 I received my diploma in Commercial and Fine Art.
It truly is a dream come true that my art is being enjoyed by
others.
This for me is a dream come true, that people are buying my
art for their homes and loved ones. It's such a privilege. I never
in my wildest dreams thought that my art would be appreciated
by others!! I feel so lucky, that I have been able to make this
into a hobby that pays for itself. Not only that I am able to
take something I love doing, and use it to help causes, by
donating signs to silent auctions for charities. Also by giving
back to our new community by donating Town signs.
My goal in life is to be a famously well known eccentric artist,
this way when I die, anyone who was wonderful enough to buy
my artwork will be rich, lol.
